Barking and Dagenham Domestic Violence Services

 

Barking and Dagenham Women's Aid (BDWA): 0800 980 1993

A specialist service specifically for women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Victim Support Barking and Dagenham: 020 8595 4455
Offers you someone to talk to in confidence; gives you information on police, and court procedures; works with other organisations on your behalf; gives you information on compensation and insurance matters; and puts you in touch with other sources of help.

Police Community Safety Unit (CSU): 020 8217 7746
This is a dedicated unit set up to deal with domestic violence. They will be able to give you confidential help and advice in a safe environment. Although the officers at the CSU realise that you may not want to go through a court procedure they do need you to report incidents which you may have experienced or witnessed. However if there is enough evidence against the perpetrator the police may be able to proceed with a victimless prosecution.

Caress run support services for gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender victims/survivors of domestic violence.
